TIMARU, May 11
Matthew Briscoll, aged 73, was found drowned in a pond at Levels on Sunday. At the inquest a verdict or suicide while temporarily insane was returned. The deceased was a wellknown farmer, and was a director of the Farmers' Co-operative Association.
