Practically all hope has now been given up regarding the fate of Plarry Douglas Jackson, aged 16, son of Mr Ralph Jackson, of Nelson, and Wil-^ Ham Lightband, sen., of Brightwater, who have been missing with a Canadian canoe at Rabbit Island since Wednesday. Dragging for the bodies has proved resultless, and there is no trace of the canoe.
