On Friday evening the series or winter entertainments, organised by members of- Holy Trinity Church, was brought to a close with a drawingr room concert, held in Fay's Hall. There was a good attendance, and the items were well received. The programme was as follows:—Pianoforte duet, Misses Chambers and. Stuart; "Songs of Arabyj" Mr Robinson; "Awake," Miss Wilkinson. This was a capital item, and for a recall Miss Wilkinson sang "A Young Lady's No/-' Cornet solo, "Mia," Mr Evans. This player was in good form, and^ received a hearty recall. Recitation, "Ghunga-Din," Mr Parry. Mr Bassett sang "Love*s Coronation," and for a recall sang "When i You Speak to me." Quintette, "The Merry Bells," Mrs Nicol, Miss Wilkinson, Messrs Nicol, Mclntosh and Bush. This' was a very pleasing item, and merited a recall. Pianoforte duet, Masters Chambers and Couch;. These young performers show great promise, and received a recall. Duet, "Whispering Hope," Mrs Nicol and Miss Wilkinson. This item was well received, and the last verse was repeated. "I Trust You Stffl," Mr Riddell. A good song, well rendered. Piano solo, Miss E. Wilkinson. For "The "North Country," Miss Chaytor was'recalled, as was Mrs Schwartz, for her song "Idle Words." Mr Barrett gave a humorous song "The Absent-minded Wife." The entertainment ended; with the quartette "Bells of St. Michael's Tower," Mrs Nicol. Miss Wilkinson and Messrs Mclntosh and Nicol. -
