THE CIVIL REMEDY

WELLINGTON, Sept. 25
Ferris, Hamilton and Sinclair, who were recently sentenced for burglary, were sued to-day by Messrs Laery and Coy for the recovery of £30 8s lid, stolen from their premises. The prisoners refused to admit that the money found on them (£lO 4s Id in all) belonged to the plaintiffs, but judgment was given for the amount lcaimed, and costs £3 7s.
