TWO MERCHANTS ARRESTED

SYDNEY, June 8,

A sequestration order has been granted in the estate of Abraham Myerson and Maurice Myerson, merchants, trading as the American Shirt Company and the Phoenix Clothing Manufacturers, who have been arrested on a charge of conspiracy to defraud their creditors.

The evidence iv behalf of the petitioning creditors, who include a number of large citx firms, set out that the liabilities were over £25,000, and the assets £11,000.

Myersoßß have, been:' selling heavy stocks of goods at auction below cost price, and drawing large sums from the bank, of which no account is given in the books.
