Thames, June 19.
The Coroner's inquiry into the recent fire which destroyed Daniel Cotte'a residence and furniture was held tonight. A verdict was returned that there was na evidence to prove that the fire occurred other than accidentally. The Coroner, Mr Bruce, referred to the practice of insurance companies accepting almost full risks. He said it offered a premium to incendiarism and fraud, though there was no evidence of the kind in the case under review.
