Press Association, Electric Telegraph, , Copyright. Inveroargill, June 19. Henry Curriej aged 25, a single man, employed at the Nightcaps mine, was killed by a fall of coal last night. His relatives reside at Blackball, near Greymouth. WAimate, June 19. A single woman, about 40, named Matilda Maude, sTiot herself this morning with a revolver. She was lady help with Mrs Henderson, who found her lying unconscious on her bed about 9 o'clock with a bullet wound near the heart and another in the head. She is still alive, but is not expected to recover. -It appears that a five chambered revolver was kept loaded in the house. Two barrels were discharged. The woman was cheerful up to within a few minutes of the deed. No reason for the act is disclosed. Wanganui June 19. A fatal accident occurred at about 5 o'clock this afternoon. A thirteen-year-old boy, named Gibson, the only son of a widow who lost her husband two years ago, was playing in a gravel pit when a fall of earth came down and broke his neck.
