[united pbebs association.] Reoeived April 5, 1 a.m. Melbourne, April 4, A serious railway collision toourred today, Cook's excursion train frem Adelaide dashing into a goods train near West Foottoray. Four trucks m the latter were smashed to pieces. The goods train was shunting at the tine of the aocident, and the station officials say the signals were against the excursion train. One lady passenger reoeived a severe shook, and a number of children sustained slight injuries. Two hundred passengers were on board the Adelaide train, and for some time the greatest excitement prevailed. Tht tfficiils m charge of the excursion trai« have been suspended until an enquiry has been held.
