• ♦ . ■ . BLENHEIM HOBSES PASSED Iff. [UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, January 3. Hunter and Nolan held a sale of blood stock at Greenlane this morning. A draft of yearlings and two-year- olds brought up from Marlboroogh by Messrs Bedwood, were offered, bat they failed to elicit a single bid. Tetfotd, Lady Norah, Tamora, and Raglan also failed to find purchasers. The well known racer Cynical was knocked down to Malavey for 64 guineas, and a chestnut geldfog syre, by Endymion, out of Silvio's dam brought £25, D. Stewart of Otahuhu being the buyer. Major George's batch of racehorses m training were also passed m, excepting Egyptns, who found a purchaser m W, Clifford at 50 guineas. Major Mair's horses were also passed m. At the conclusion of the Bale Messrs Bedwood's lot were again put up, the yearling colt, King John, bj King Cole — Wainui, found a purchaser m Donald Fraser of Bangitikei for 100 guineas. The others were again passed m.
