The Captain of the steamer Myrmidon states that from the proximity of the volcano Tambora, there is little doubt that the interruption to the cable is caused by volcanic disturbance. Peculiar sunsets, resembling the Kiatokoa glows of 1883-84, have been seen lately m the vicinity. The Myrmidon left yesterday with the homeward cables, and instructions, have been forwarded to ascertain wha<i steps are being taken for restoring communication.
