Levy J.P., Secretary of the Wellington branch of the Temperance Alliance has been missing since Thursday ~3j and nothing has been heard of him sin re. On Wednesday last Mr Levy and the members of the Conk Licensing Cnininictee each received a letter threatening that thcit lives would he taken if they, persisted m thoir determination to. close the three hotels m the district. No reason is known for the absence, whioh is causing anxiety to his friends. The matter has been placed m the hands of the police,
