The half- yearly balance sheet of the Colonial Bank of New Zealand shows that the net profits for the year after making usual allowances, amount to £18,960. Adding to this the balance from the last half year and any deductions, the tax on the note circulation and £500 donation to guarantee association, there remains available £20,419, Out of this it is proposed to pay a dividend of seven per cent per annum on the paid up capital, place £1000 to the reserve fond and carry forward £5,410.
