The prize of £30, offered by the proprietors of the "Yeoman" newspaper, for the first subscriber who " tipped " the winners of the Wanganui Stakes, Flying Handicap, and Wanganui Cup, at the recent meeting, was not won by anybody, the double victory of Sir George putting everyone out. 036 competed from all parts of the colony.
