Not a bed is to be obtained m town, so numerous are the visitors to the races Ou the course little work of interest has hitherto been done most of the best horses having been engaged at Wanganui, they came overlaud to-day. Old Danebury has been doing some fast work, winding up well and sound, but that ia nil of worth from the training ground. Bettiug is all open. Natator, Foul Play, and Randwick, appeared to be the favorites for the Cup. Merlin and Loch Lomond have gone wrong, and are scratched for all engagements. CuiusTruuucH, This Day. Hornby was scratched for all engagements at the Autumn Meeting, Yesterday.
Wanganui, This Day. The prize of £30, offered by the proprietors of the "Yeoman" newspaper, for the first subscriber who " tipped " the winners of the Wanganui Stakes, Flying Handicap, and Wanganui Cup, at the recent meeting, was not won by anybody, the double victory of Sir George putting everyone out. 036 competed from all parts of the colony.
