The Governor, accompanied by the Mayor, visited the public institutions to-day, and at 2.45 received an address from the Corporation, and afterwards held a levee m the Town Hall. The Railway Hotel, Lawrence, was burnt down yesterday. The building was insured m the New Zealand Office for £.500, and the stock m the National for £300. Inveroargjll, This Day. Yesterday, while Timothy Holland, a farm servant, with John Mclntyre, of western district, was attending to his horses, he received a kick from one of them, which resulted m his death shortly after.
