Massey (Prime Minister of New Zealand) cabled on behalf of the Government and people of Now Zealand, "If opportunity offers during the coming summer for a visit to the Dominion of the whole or part of the Commonwealth Fleet, New Zealand will be glad to extend a cordial welcome." Hon. J. Cook (Prime Minister) replied, "I much appreciate your invitation but am not aware at present if itwill be possible for the fleet to go to New Zealand. If so it will he gratifying to us."
