WEDDING AT OTAMITA.

A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated on the 11th inst. at "Maryfield," Otamita, the residence of the bride's parents, when Jessie, fourth daughter oi Mr and Mrs Gavin Dickson, was married to Mr Robert Lea.sk, of Kelso. The Rev. T. Paulin, of Kelso, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a pale heliotrope eolienne robe, beautifully trimmed, with white lace, on which was embroidered an exquisite design in gold thread and finishings of a pale shade of taffeta silk. She also wore the customary veil and wreath of orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet. The bridesmaid was Miss Jane Ann Dickson, sister of the bride, who wore a white embroidered lawn dress. She also carried a shower bouquet and wore a handsome gold bangle, the present of the bridegroom. Mr James McDonald, of Kelso, acted as best man. After the ceremony the guests sat to the wedding breakfast, when the usual toasts were honored. The health of "The Bride and Bridegroom" was proposed by the Rev. T. Paulin and replied to by the bridegroom; "The Bridesmaid," by Mr Hubener and responded to by Mr James McDonald; "The Bride's Parents," by Mr W. Dunnett, responded to by Mr Gavin Dickson; "The Bridegroom's Parents' (coupled with the names of Mr and Mrs C. F. Dunnett) by Mr Gavin Dickson, responded to by Mr W. Dunnett; "The Officiating Clergyman," by Mr John C. Dickson, responded to by the Rev. T. Paulin. After photographs had been taken the happy couple left amid showers of rice by the north express en route, for Oamaru, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride's travelling costume was made of the new shade in navy cloth, close fitting, and collar embroidered in an Oriental design : navy 'due hat with white ostrich feather. The presents were numerous, including several substantial cheques, testifying to the popularity of the bride and i bridegroom. j
