Per Press Association. Napier, July 16. A deliberate murder is reported from Waiapu. A Maori shot bis wife and then took to the bush. The police are after him. There are no particulars. Later. The Gisborne native woman murdered at Waiapu was named Merc Ivapa. • Her husband, who fired at her, was named William Turei, son of the Rev Mahi Turei. The woman’s ribs wero stove in by the shock of the gun and part of her head shot away.
