Tho weather for tlio second day of the J.C. Winter Meeting was disagreeable, light rain falling tho whole of the afternoon. The attendance was fair notwithstanding. Selling Hurdles, 70 sovs, 1|- miloa.— Trapper 1, Mabel 2, Jackal 3. Three others ran. Won ;by a length. Time, 3min lUsec. Dividend, L2. Bought in at L 65.
Provincial Handicap, 1} miles.—Sultan 1, Captain Cook 2, Lo Temps 3. Haka, Bro irer, Enid also ran. An interesting race resulted in a win for Sultan. Time, 2min 21sec. Dividend, L2 4s. Novel Race, 70 govs, 1 milo.—Doubtful 1, Gold Dust 2, Jaekall 3. Ten others started. Won easily. Time, linin 52sec. Dividond, Lll 7s. Winter Trot, GO sovs, 2 miles.—Rose (oOsec) 1, Bob (50 sec) 2, Reefer (20sec) 3. Sixteon others started. Won in hollow fashion. Dividend, Ll 93s and Ll 4 12s.
