SUPREME COURT.
o (Per Press Association.) Wellington, Jan. 5. Davis, charged with stabbing a man named Dunn, at Featherston, pleaded guilty. Sentence deferred till to-morrow. At the Supreme Court Samuel Bennett for breaking and entering received three years.
William Harris, larceny from the person, 18 months ; John Smith, larceny from the person, two yeare. Christchurch, Jan 5. William Dobeck was found guilty of horsestealing ; sentence was deferred. William Hael Zouch, convicted of forgery, received two years’ imprisonment. Daniel Glace, charged with shooting with intent, was acquitted.
Dunedin, Jan 5, Maurice Edward Barton and John Hunter were convicted of larceny, and sentenced, the former to six months and Hunter to two years
