MATAMATA CLUB High Scores on Saturday H The Matamata Rifle Club held its weekly shoot on Saturday over the 200 and 300 yards ranges for a trophy presented by Mr. Ray Harris. The weather was ideal except for rain, which intervened towards the last detail. The scores were of a high standard, the best being: H. R. King, 48 at 200, 46 at 300, total 94; P. Pilcher, 45—47, 92; H. W. Rollett, 47—45, 92; W. M. Griffiths, 43 47, 90; G. Sutherland, 42—47, 89; L. Park, 43—46, 89; D. Raethel, 43 42, 85; R. de Luen, 41—40, 81; P. Mantle, 38—30, 68. With handicaps adjusted, Sutherland won the trophy with 96J. Next Saturday a shoot will be held over the 500 and 600 yards ranges.
