SALVATION ARMY

A "iffc evening held in the Salvation Army Hall on Thursday last was well attended,. After the opening devotional exercises a program was presented as follows: song: “Just for Today.” Presbyterian choir; song. “The Holy City,” Miss I. Ingles; reading “Beautiful Queenstown, Miss M. Miles; song “Little Gray Home in the West.” Mrs *L L. Lindsay; song. “In in Old-fashioned Town.” Miss M. Gray; song “When Song is Sweet,” Miss B. Hales; song "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.” Presbyterian choir: After a few remarks by Major Grice the gifts were distributed, much amusement being caused at their unwrapping. The local funds should benefit considerably as the result of the function. Lieut. Jones and Cadet Taylor were in charge.
