The winners of last week’s medal matches were— Ladies. Mrs James; men. Mr T. A. Johnston and A. D. Pearce equal.
The following is the draw for the first qualifying round of the championship. all matches to be pilayed on 7th and Bth inst.: — Ladies- —Mrs Haggitt v Mrs Campbell. Mrs Douglas v Mrs Reed, Mrs Saunders v Mrs Ritchie, Mrs James v Miss McLauchlan.
Men—Reed v A. D. Pearce. Erridge v N. Pearce. Johnston, v W. R. Shaw, S. Pearce v T. Shaw Anidersonev A.. Reid K. Ferguson v scorer. An eclectir match, for which trophies have been donated by Mrs D. Lee. Nightcaps, will be played over the two qualifying rounds for the championship pup. Playing on the local links Hast week. Mrs D. Lee, of the Ohai Club, returned a card of 38. which is only 2 above bogey. This is the best round so far recorded for the links by a lady player. -
