GOLF NOTES.
ARROWTOWN. The winner of the golf ball in the ladies’ section was Mrs James, with a nett score of 43. Mrs Ritchie and Miss Alien were runners-up with a nett 45. The winner in the men’s section was . C. Latta with a nett 72. The next i best scores were Johnston 76, Reed 78. i The first qualifying round for both } the ladies’ and men’s championship i will be played on 21st or 22nd Aug- | ust. These are the only' two days | on which these rounds may be played. Ladies are required to play 18 holes. The draw is as follows: — Ladies.—Mrs James v Mrs Douglas, Mrs Reed v Miss Alien, Mrs Haggitt v Mrs Ritchie, Miss Romans v Miss | Shaw, Mrs Saunders v Miss J. Reid, ; Mrs Swann v scorer. Men.—James v K. Ferguson, Latta j v Goomes, Reed v Johnston, Romans v A. Murphy, Ritchie v Hannah, W. - Saunders, Dr. Ferguson v scorer. E. Saunders, Dr. Ferguson v scorer. Any members unable to play are asked to notify the secretary not later than August 20th.
