rpi lr> \ttorney-G}eneral (Sir Francis Bell) expects to leave New Zealand for the Old Country by the Athemo _in March next. Sir Francis Bell s original intention° was to make his trip, a pure--Ily unofficial ono, but there is quite a strong probability that he will be called upon to represent tins oonntry at the Imperial Conference which is to be held about tlio middle of the year. Whether he will have to do so depends on whether the Prime Minister is un. ahlo to spare the time that a visit to England would require. Mr Massey told a “ Dominion ” reporter that there was very little probability of his being able to* attend the conference. “If ( got the chance,” lie said, “I want to soo Samoa. It is necessary that I should do so, though I may say that Mr Lloyd Georgo has written me a personal lottor telling me he would he glad if I could pub in an appearance.”
