The .<9W Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has reoeived a cablegram from London, under date May 12, quoting present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow:—Fine mutton 88s, good beef 85s, mixed 81s. There is no demand for fine mutton tallow. Messrs Booth and Co.’s London house cables that at the sales held on May 5, 1445 casks were offored, 907 casks being sold. Good mutton and beef sliowad slight declines, other grades being unchanged. Quotations are:—Edible mutton 90s, edible beef 90s, good mutton 87s, good beef 85s Od, good colour 85s, no colour 81s, gut 76s 6d.
