PERSONAL NOTES. Corporal Androw Frank Sylvester Williams, who died at Trentham Military Hospital on November 15 of influenza, was the youngest son of Captain and Mrs E. Williams, Linwood, late of Lyttelton. He was twenty-two years of age, and prior to enlisting was employed at the Addington Workshops. Mr Ormandy, of Worcester Street, Linwood, has received advice of the death of his third son, Private Harry Ormandy, of pneumonia, in a hospital in England on November 7. Private Ormandy enlisted on his twentieth birthday, and went into camp five weeks later with the Fortieth Reinforcements. After being in camp two months he sailed with the Forty-second Reinforcements. Private Ormandy followed up farming pursuits, and was for some years in the employ of Henderson Bros., Methven. Air Ormandy has two elder sons serving the Empire.

Private Alick Eraser, who died at Trentham Military Hospital, on Saturday, of influenza, was the eldest son of'Mr and Mrs William Fraser, of 40, River Road, Avonside. Private Fraser left with the Alain Body as a pipor of the Ist Canterbury Regiment, under Colonel Al’Bean Stewart. He was present at the Canal fight, but was invalided home the week of the landing at Gallipoli. On his return to New Zealand he was discharged as unfit for further service, but. eighteen months afterwards, having regained his health, he again enlisted, and was accepted for •service- He was not, however, sent to the front, but was retained on the musketry staff at Trentham. remaining there until his death. Piper Fraser was a very old member of the Canterbury Caledonian Society’s Pipe Band, and in Egypt be piped his comrades over many a weary route march. Of a bright' find happv disposition he was much liked, and his loss will be greatly felt by all who knew him.
