THE LATE MRS DUNCAN.

The funeral of the late Mrs Mary A. Duncan, wife of Mr Robert J. Duncan, of Huxley Street, Sydenham, was held at the Sydenham Cemetery yesterday, and was largely attended. * The deceased lady, who was well known for her benevolence and many kindly acts, was; an active member,of the Ladies' Committee of the Scottish Society, and her funeral was attended by members of the society in a body, under CTiieftain Williamson, Chieftains Charles Broun, A. W. M'Gillivray and R.. R. Smith also being present. The Rev C. Leach officiated, at the graveside' Wreaths were sent by the Scottish' Society. Mr and Mrs A. W. Duncan (Wellington), Dr and Mi* Anderson, Mr and Mrs D. Spence, Mr and Mrs Thompson, Mr and Mrs R, Jack, Mr and Mrs Wilson, Mr and Mrs Bflsley. Mr and Mrs Simpson, Mr and Mrs Irving. Mr and -Mrs Carter, Mr and Mrs Luke, Miss Thompson and others. The deceased leaves a widower, two daughters and a sou.
