CHRISTCHURCH CLUB, Tho final of tho. doubles championship of the Christchurch Club was played on Saturdnv afternoon, when A. Dickson and W. H. Macdougall defeated W. Minson arid £-. I*. Daniels by 28 points to 21. This match completed tho competitions on the Christchurch green, the championship winners, who will represent the dub in the centre champion-of-champions matches, being as follows —Singles. W H. Macdouga ; doubles, A. Dickson and W. H. Macdougall links, -T. H. Seager, H. Laflgford, W. S. Atkinson and R. Torrance.

RANGIORA CLUB. Tho championship competitions on tho Rangiora green are now in their final stages. In the rinks there are two rounds, each team playing eight. games.. ami the position at present is as follow: Angus 5 wins 2 losses, Wilson o wins 1 loss. Cresswell 3 wins 2 losses, Efford and Sinclair no wins. The finishes in most cases hive been close and the scoros low. Angus and Wilson tied in both their game 3 and in playing off each secured a win. In the doubles competition of nine games the leading pair is M'Kay and H. b. Wilson with 7 wins, Jennings and r.flora com in? next with 4 wins and 2 losses. Thirteen games oro to bo played in tho singles competition, and the best scores at present ore:—Angus 6 wins 2 losses. T. R. Cresswell 6 wins 3 losses, Efford 5 wins 3 losses, end Archdall 5 wins 5 losses.

ELLESMERE ASSOCIATION. PATRIOTIC TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD. The executive of the Ellesmcrc Bowling Association met at Leeston on lAumW evening, Dr Withers (Southbridgc), presiding. The secretary (Mr S. Johnston), presented a statement showing a credit of £ll 14s on the tournaments held on December 16 and 18 It was stated that the winners of the various competitions had agreed to accept certificates in place of money prizes, and that accounted for tho largo credit balance. The winners were as follow:—Rinks—i. Greer It. Claydon. J. Boag, Jim., and J. Burgess (Dunsandel). Doubles—G. W. lume and H. Brown (Dunsandel). Singles-11. Brown (Dunsandel) 1, H. K«ave (Leeston) 2. It. was decided, on the motion of Mr Bill, to vote £l2 12s to tho Patriotic Fund and appreciation was expressed of the patriotic spirit shown by the players mentioned. The association accepted an offer from the Christchnrch Centre of the Bowling Association to send a team to Leeston to play the Ellesmere representatives on February 26. The secretary was instructed to write, asking that seven rinks should be sent out. It was Arranged that Dunsandel should supply three rinks and Leeston and Southbndge two each. The Leeston Club undertook to provide afternoon tea. Mr Robertson suggested that the season should be wound up with a district tournament, tho proceeds to go to the Patriotic The suggestion was unanimously agreed to and it was further decided that there should be competitions for nnks, doubles and singles, Dunsandel to supply two links for the rink competition, and Leeston and Southbridgc cne each.
