ANONYMOUS FARMER DONATES £500.' The latest contribution to the Canterbury Patriotic Fund is the sum of £SOO, from an anonymous donor. The Mayor has received the gift through the local mauager of the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, who has sent the following letter:—"At the request of a client, who wishes to be known as ' Sheepfarmer,' we beg to hand you herewith a cheque for £,500, being a contribution on his own account to the Patriotic Fund."
