FIRES.
SHOP AND WORKROOMS BURNED
INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 27. The plumbing shop and workrooms of T. E. Skinner, at Pukekohe, were gutted early this morning. The building j was in close proximity to two recent fires, and suspicions of incendiarism are causing much uneasiness, especially as the hose used by the brigade was found to have been cut when tike alarm was given. Skinner had insurances for £2OO, and estimates his loss at £4OO. The building was valued at £3OO, and owned by the Bradbury estate, being insured for £IOO. BARBER'S SALOON BURNED. [Per Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, April 27. A fire oocuxred at midnight in Doig's hoirdrossmg saloon in the Albion Buildings. The damage to stock is estimated at £4OO. The insurances wero £B6O. The damage to the building was £l6O.
