PARISH MEETINGS.

ST SAVIOUR'S, SYDENHAM. The annual meeting: of the Sydenham parishioners was held in St Saviour's Schoolroom on April 14. About 200 people attended, and the vicar, the Rev H. 8. Leach, presided. The report stated that a new mission room (St Philip's) had been built _at Beckenham, bub was already proving too small, and preparations were now being made to enlarge the room. A tower and spire had been added to St Augustine's Church, Cashmere, at a cost of over £514, all of whioh had been raised. The St Saviour's Church, school and vicarage had been painted and renovated, and wero now in an excellent state of repair. The Ladies' Guild had raised all the money for this much-needed work. All the parochial organisations had been vigorously carried on by a largo body of earnest workers, and there wore now three clergy at work in the parish. Ministrations were regularly provided for iihe Cashmere Sanatorium/, and thie King George Coronation Hospital, and occasional services at the Convalescent Homo and at St Helens Hospital. The balance-sheet showed that the ordinary receipts exceeded the expenditure by £2 13s. Offerings towards missions and extra-parochial objects from all the churches amounted to £l5O. The improvement fund showed a credit balance of £l6 4s Ocl, and tho various funds showed small credit balances. Tho Bpckenham mission-room building fund showed an expenditure of ££3o~ of which £260 was a loan from the Church Property Trustees. The St Augustine's, Cashmere Hills, account showed the total income to he £877. Tho expenditure was £BOB 12s Id, leaving ft credit balance of £8 7s lid. Mr W. Andrews was appointed vi'iar's ehurchwardoii, and Mr Olaf .TaeobsPTi parishioners churchwarden. The following vestrymen were elected: Messrs Cnrrie, Way. Ranger, \V. Harry, Saunders. W. Gasson. A resolution was carried approving of the right of women voting at parish meetings. , ..,, Tho need of the rebuilding of St Saviour's Diocesan Orphanage waa introduced, and literature on the subject was distributed. The superintendent of tho St Saviour's Sunday School gave a brief report of tho work carried on. over 600 children being on tho roll. Votes of thanks to all church workers for tho past year throughout tho parish were carried.
