The Dominion art union in aid of the poor of Britaiu, Ireland and Belgium was drawn yesterday at Mr Charles Clark's auction rooms. The Mayor conducted the drawing, and a number of the general public were prceent. Prize-winners are requested to call for their prizes o-t Mr Charles Clark's rooms as early as possible. Over a thonsand pounds’ worth of tickets were sold for the art union, and this result reflects much credit on the committee who had the matter in hand. ASHBURTON. The Ashburton Committee, of the Britain and Belgium Relief Fund have received the following additional donations to the Fund: —Lyudhurst school children (prize fund) AS, Lyndburst Sunday school £1 10s, Win chmoro V omen’s Christian Temperance Union 10s, Ealing gchool children £1 Its, Miss M. Butterick os. The total to date is £2263 12s 7d. SOUTHBRIDGE. On Tuesday evening, when the Sottthbridge District High School old scholars' concert party, gave a patriotic concert in aid of the school piano fund, a collection was taken up on behalf of tho Poor of Britain and Belgium bund, and this and the auctioning of several dolls and flags realised about £2O. BELGIAN FUND. The Mayor of Kaiapoi (Mr ,T. W. Barnard) has forwarded to the authorities in Wellington the sum of £24 Bs, being the Kaiapoi contribution to the shilling Belsrian Christmas Gift Fund.
