ALARMING REPORTS. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. VANCOUVER, May 6. Flood reports from Torras, says a New York message, grow in gravity. People have been swept off the roofs of 'houses, and the water is exceeding the height of telegraph poles. Several persons were rescued afloat on wooden houses. A thousand are known to be homeless in one district.
