The test match was continued to-aay in hot weather and on a perfect wicket. Kelleway 89 and Ransford 31 resumed Australia’s first innings, facing the bowling of Llewellyn and'Sinclair, with the total at 72. The bowlers were vimful, the fielding was close and runs were not easy to get. Kelleway was not enterprising,' but Ransford was more aggressive, and reached his halfcentury as the result of eighty minutes’ batting. Without adding to his score he missed Llewellyn and was bowled. Bardsley got to work immediately. Sinclair had bowled eight overs for 11 runs, but the ninth yielded four, ana 100 went up after IQS minutes’ play. At 111 Kelleway was smartly caught at the wickets.
