THE WEEKLY HALF-HOLIDAY

[Pek Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, January 10. A movement is afoot, emanating from the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, to observe the weekly half-holi-day on Saturdays throughout, the province, and the_ matter is being considered by the various borough councils and other bodies, and generally favourably. The Waitara Borough Council had a conference with ' business people last night, and decided that Saturday was the best day for the. half-holiday, and agreeing to observe it if "the idea were unanimously adopted.
