The first series of matches in the Canterbury Rugby Union’s competitions, which were postponed last week on account of bad weather, will ho played to-morrow afternoon. The three matches in the Senior championship competition will bo . played at Lancaster Park, beginning at three o’clock. Sydenham and Old Boys will play on the east ground, Albion and Christchurch on the west ground, and Linwood and Canterbury College on the south ground. The first of the Ashburton Rugby Union’s competition matches was played at Methven on Wednesday, between the local team and one representing the Rakaia Club, the latter playing short. The match was won by Methven by five points to nil.
