ROBBERY AT DUNEDIN.
[Pee Press Association.] , DUNEDIN, April 24. . Some time last night or early this morning the jewellery establishment of Messrs Stewart Dawson and Co. was burglariously entered and goods of the value of from £llO to £lls were stolen. It was a good night for such an enterprise, dark and stormy. A retaining wall runs along to the back of the shop from Dowling Street steps. Along this the. burglars went and forced a window into the workroom by means of a. chisel. Such of the contents of the shop as had not been transferred to the safe were appropriated. Bracelets, brooches and greenstone trifles composed the haul, but no attempt, was made on the safe, which contained over £30,000 worth of valuables. The loss was discovered on the arrival of the employees this morning. The detectives are making investigations.
