ROAD BOARDS.

SPREYDON. _ . A meeting of the Spreydon Road Board was held on Thursday; present— Messrs John Down (in the chair), W. Dalley, T. Thornton E. H. CLark and J. Denholm. The clerk reported thafc tho receipts since the previous meeting had been £612 8s 9d, and the credit! balance was £143 3s 4d. A petition was presented by a number of propertyowners asking the Board to includo that part of River Road from Duncan Street to Colombo Road in its loan area. It was unanimously decided to grant the request, and to make that tho addition to the loan area. Numerous requests having been received for lamp 3, culverts and other works, tho Board resolved to make a thorough inspection of tho whole district. Th* Works Committee reported that it had ii hand tho erection of street nam* boards throughout the district.
