CURRENT NOTICES.
The Railway Department announces cheap fares in connection with the Dunedin spring races, to be held on Oct. 8 and 11. A vocal and instrumental concert will be given in the Springfield Hall on Friday evening by a number of Christchurch amateurs. A special meeting of tho Socialist Party will be held this evening to consider matters of importance. A meeting! of the General Committee of tie Labour Day Exoursion Picnic will be held at Inglis's Buildings at 8.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The annual meeting of tie Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association will be ield at tie Clarendon Hotel at eight o'clock this evening.
