[Per Press Association*.] WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. At the conclusion of Mr Reardon's address at Karori on Friday, a resolution was carried asking Mr Rcardon to stand down for an accredited Government candidate. Mr Reardon replied that if the Government were foisting a candidate on the electors he would sacrifico his seat to affirm the principle of manhood suffrage. DUNEDIN, Sept. 29. The Liberals at Milton have selected Mr J. A. Scott to oppose Mr James Allen for the Bruce seat. Mr H. F. Recce addressed a meeting of electors at North Loburn on Saturday night, and, despite the wintry weather, there were about seventy present. The -speaker was frequently applauded, and received a hearfy vote of thanks. Mr J. Criglingfcon was in the chair. Mr W. Rollitt, a candidate for the Lyttelton seat, will address the electors at the Oddfellows' Hall, Lyttelton, on Monday evening next. He will speak at Woolston on Oct. 9.
