THE NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, August 23. Air Henderson, the manager of the New South Wales team, says it is not intended to ■send over to Sydney for -reserves. They will play New Zealand l , with the best- team available. It would be unwise to bring emergencies over, se-eong -that the best players could not come in the first instance, and that another team is required to go- to Queensland, consequently the newcomers would be only second-rate players. In the match against Otago to-morrow, Wickham and Hughe®, -the crack centre three-quar-ters, ..Harris, half-hack, Costello, the captain, Beaumont, Harrison and Shretland, forward's, arc standing down, owing to injuries. The team i.s therefore a weak one. The Hawke’s Bay Football team arrived by the Waihora yesterday, and were welcomed by the officials >of the local Union. They were the guests of the Union at Dix’s Company last night. The game should prove interesting, owing to the stand made by the visitors against ‘Wellington. Two changes have been made in the team selected to play for Canterbury— Phillips and Harvey arc -too unwell to play, and their places will be taken by Harper and Weston. Ormandy will- captain the Canterbury team.
