HUNTING.

The Christchurch Hounds met’ at Barfield on Tuesday, June 18, andi had what can only be described! as a hard galloping day throughout. Hares were far too numerous to score inany kills, but the last run of the day made up for all this,- as it was a' really splendid hunting run of some forty minutes duration, at the end of which the hounds ran into their hare handsomely. There were no less than four falls at one fence, including two ladies. The country hunted over belonged to Messrs Lory, W. Clinton, Langdale and Henley. On the Wednesday there was a by-day at Kirvvee, when the best run of the season took place. The quarry was founds close to Kirwee township, and the, hounds literally raced her straight away to Aylesbury, where a fresh hare got up, but in the end they got on to the original hare agsfih,- and ’killed. At twelve o’clock the hounds Were taken home. The Master hunted the hounds on both days,- and W. Beay acted as' whip, -
