HONOURS FOR RETURNED TROOPERS.

TO THE EDITOR, gir,—Will you kindly allow me space to gay a few words in, regard to the manner in which some of the returned troopers are being treated in connection with the Royal visit. There are several returned troopers in Christchuxoh who were not attached to any of the contingents, but who, nevertheless, went to South Africa and fought for the Empire. These men have not been included in the invitations to be present at the procession and the review, • and have been ignored in that direction. Several of them feel, with me, that they should be treated differently, and should, in fact, be placed on the same level as members of the contingents, as all have fought for the good of the Empire, and there should be no distinction. We hope that some arrangement will be made whereby invitations will be issued' to all returned troop-ei-s, including members of all the South African Forces.—l am, etc., RETURNED TROOPER.
