, Sir, —Two veteran politicians, of opposite parties, passed before “my mind’s eye” when reading of the. knighthood conferred upon the Minister for Railways. I allude to the Hon E. Richardson, so long and creditably connected with Sir Julius Vogel’s policy, and to the Hon W, Rolleston, the doyen of our representative system. Both were rather workers than, orators.—l am, etc.,.
