BOROUGH COUNCILS.
« <> —. SUMNER. At the Sumnar Borough Council meeting last night there were present—Councillors Hughes, Maffey, Rowell and! Wrenn. In the absence of the Mayor, who sent an apology, Councillor Hughes was voted to the chair. The half-yearly balance-sheet and report of the Fire Brigade were received, and the usual subsidy was granted to the brigade. Items of finance were reported as follow Receipts since last meeting, £25 8s sd, expenditure £26 12s. The sanitary- inspector’s report was considered satisfactory, and after routine business had been dealt with the meeting closed.
