LOYALTY IN THE BUSH.

TO THE EDITOR. ' Sir, —Taking a quiet stroll 1 along tire "Midland Railway line at Springfield on opr late Queen’s burial day, we were much, surprised to corns across a sign-boardl bearing the title Ysker’s Refreshment Rooms, and hoisted .over the home-like house a Union Jack halfmast. On standing for a few moments looking at the picturesque scene, with its peculiar stillness, we were struck by the music coming from the house, the "Dead. March” being beautifully played on an organ. The curtains all being drawn, showed that our late Gracious Queen was not forgotten in the hush. Such sympathetic loyalty deserves the greatest praise.—-We are, etc., TRAVELLERS.
