THE VACANT JUDGESHIP. OFFERED TO MR THEO. COOPER. [From Our Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 13. It is announced that the Government lias decided to offer the position of Judge of the Supreme Court and President of the Arbitration Court to Air Theo. Cooper, of Auckland. The judgeship is, of course, in everybody s mouth, and everybody is pleased with rile selection of Mr Cooper, of Auckland, Air Cooper is, I hare Some reason to knoW, Hkliy to accept. He is eminent as a barrister, having made his mart in many leading cases, and is a constant attendant at the Court of Appeal. He is well known here, and the profession has the highest opinion of him.
