PRESENTATIONS
The members of the Lyttelton. Hockey Club met on Monday evening and presented their captain,'Mr D. Mahar, with a gentlemen's dressing-companion, previous to his departure for England-. Mr X. E. Schumacher (president), in making the presentation, referred to the good' qualities of Mr Mfihnr, and wished Mm Ivr voyage. Mr Maliar suitably replied. Mes-i-iv R Wylie and G. E." Collins both eulngiscd Mr Mahar, who was one of the founders ef hockey in Lybtriton, besides being on© of the best players. " They both wished him success in England, where he is japing to.
gain business experience,' and they trusted ere long to see him renew his associations ,with ihcm. After three hearty cheers had been given for Mr Manor the meeting terminated. ■
