RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Tuesday. A beautiful morning saw a few spectators present to witness the final gallops of tho Midsummer' Handicap candidates. The tracks werj in capiital order, and some interesting work was recorded. Soraerled and Gleuala-. dale, ■ both looking the picture of health, opened proceedings by. galloping a fast seven furlongs on the plough. The latter, who gained a slight advantage at the start, held his position throughout. Tho time registered for the journey from a flying start was lmin 30 4-ssec. Goldenmere was better than Windwhistle over six furlongp, run in lmin 20sec on the grass, and Glenogle registered a similar performance on the plough. Hargoifc ran four furlongs on the grass in 52sec. Rougemonfc executed a - like 'task, while Scottish Minsxrel from a flying start galloped sfeven furlongs in lmin..32scc. Cannie Cliiel accompanied him lor the greater part ot the journey. Benzoin brushed over the last five of a six-furlong spin in lmin ssec, and West Guard compassed a circuit at three-quarter speed. Ladykiller dashed over six furlongs on the cinders in lmin 20sec, and Hawthorn covered half a mile. Blazer was much too good for Cherrystone at the end of <a seven-furlong spin, run in lmin 32£sec. Redan oriel Blandford were com'panions over a fast six furlongs, which occupied lmin 21 sec. Cameo covered a mile in lmin 47sec, Cadet, assisting him over the last, six furlongs. Dundee put in strong work, while St' Denis left six furlongs behind him in lmin 19sec. Clandeboye galloped seven furlongs, Antigone bringing him home tho last half mile. After breakfast Battlecry and Wee Drappie were associated in -a five-furlpng spin on the grass, which occupied lm>n 7scc, the latter finishing the stronger of the two. Bonaparte compassed a circuit at half speed, while Lady Dnndas did strong pacing. Languid brushed over five furlongs in lmin 6sec, while , Romany galloped half a mile In 51sec.
