CURRENT NOTICES.
A special meeting. of the Christchurch Painters’ Union will be held on Monday at 7.50 p.m. The Bijou Variety. Company will give an entertainment in the Lyceum Hall on Monday evening. Bishop Julius will preach in. St Saviours Church, Sydenham, to-morrow morning. A crowded house greeted the performance of Fuller’s Vaudeville Company at the Waxworks last night. A complete change of programme will be given to-night. . The Christchurch Physical Training School and Gymnasium will re-open shortly. New appliances, including some of Sandow’s, have been added to the already well-equipped school, and a new series of exercises have been prepared for the coming season- All the classes, including those for ladies and children, give promise of increased popularity. On Thursday in the Theatre Royal, the Northcote Kinematograph Company .will make its first appearance in Christchurch. A series of pictures of the war in South Africa will be presentedThe Rev Charles Clark will preach in the Sydenham Baptist Church to-morrow evening- . "
